An overview
Located on the foothill of Trai Thuy Mountain, Long Son Pagoda was founded in the late 19th century and it is the most well-known Buddhist pagoda in Nha Trang. However, the site had to suffer from a damage caused by a storm in 1990 and after that it was rebuilt with the location on Thai Nguyen Street.

Come to explore Long Son Pagoda, you will be impressed by a giant white Buddha sitting on a lotus blossom, symbolizing the perfection and purity. Moreover, you can also easily catch a glimpse of fire-ringed busts of Thich Quang Duc and six Buddhist monks who died in the late 1950s when fighting against the corrupt Diem regime. This white Buddha image is located behind the temple, which may take your around 152 steps to lead to that 24-meter Buddha. Stand at the platform of the Buddha base, you can have a panoramic view of the whole landscape as well as the nearby areas.
