“My husband and I opted for a cooking class tour in Hoi An and we really enjoyed it! The tour with a private guide took a half day. First, we went to the host’s home, Mr.Tuan is so hospitable, he took us to the vegetable plantations, and made us try some of the local plants. Then we had an amazing cooking lesson with many delicious dishes. What I love the most is Zuzizuzi Cake. It was a great experience! I highly recommend it if you go to Hoi An.”

There are many places with 10$ near Ba Trieu and Hai Ba Trung street. But I think Salt Water Hostel on Cua Dai Road is just around $6/night if you don’t mind a dorm.

In Hoi An, You can walk around night market and street that mainly sells lanterns and pretty souvenirs. You can also find some vendors around some streets sells snack food. That‘s awesome. And Khanh Hoa market in Da Nang is a good place to visit. Open daily around 18:00 and wrap up at midnight. The market is busiest in weekend, there are many interesting products and food for you to see and eat here.

Good question, it depends on what you want to see in these places. I recommend Hoi An because the town is lovely beautiful and much more things to do and see in Hoi An than Da Nang. Ten days in Hoi An may be not enough, enjoy!

Walking is considered as the best way to visit Hoi An due to its winding streets and huge number of old houses to discover. Cyclo is also a good way to getting around Hoi An, it costs less money and heaps more fun.

Of course, there are some Hoi An cooking class tours for you to learn how to cook Vietnamese dishes as well as Hoi An dishes like Pho, Spring rolls, My Quang, Cao Lau and Hoi An pancakes (Banh Xeo)… The local cookers are willing to introduce Hoi An traditional cuisine and some fresh vegetables and herbals for your cooking lesson, as well as explain how to cook these dishes.
