Hoa Binh & Hill Tribe Villages Tour – Day trip

The Perfume Pagoda is a part of Huong Son Tourist Area, which covers an area of a thousand hectares and includes a complex of mountains, rivers and streams, villages, pagodas, and grottoes surrounded by the Huong Tich Mountain Range, This is one of the highlights of the Hanoi area, specially this is one of the most important religious sites of Vietnam Buddhism. The Pagoda itself is located inside a huge lm stone cave where we have to take a short trek after a boat trip along the Yen River We will have the chance to glide along scenic waterways and walk up steep mountain paths visiting the pagodas and temples that were built in this area over the centuries.

Hanoi and its environs are the birthplace of many quintessential Vietnamese dishes, such as Pho and Bun cha, and the city is often cited as one of the world's great food capitals. It is also a street-eater's paradise, with a plethora of options for those who want to eat like a local. In fact, many swear that the best food in Hanoi is found on the sidewalk, with dishes that often feature fish sauce, lemongrass, chilies, and cilantro and other fresh herbs. Mai Chau is a mountainous region located in Hoa Binh province, approximately 135 km from Hanoi and 65km from Hoa Binh. The Ban Lac People have Thai ancestors that settled in the North-Western area of Vietnam. The tribe White Thai settled in the same area and make up the largest ethnic population of the region. The Mai Chau area is well known for its stilt houses. The type of stilt houses, or pile dwellings, they construct are called Thai stilt houses and are made of bamboo and timber. These houses are elevated 10-12 feet off the ground in order to avoid water damage and shelter animals from the elements.

Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam’s most beautiful and important protected areas and easily accessible from Hanoi - only a 2,5 hour journey by road. The ancient forest contains almost 2000 species of trees and amongst them lives some amazing and rare animals including the Clouded leopard, Delacour’s Langur, Owston’s Civet, Otters and Asian Black Bears!
