Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Mong Sen – Ta Phin
Day 2: Ta Phin – Matra – Sapa
Day 3: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Lao Cai – Night train to Hanoi
Hanoi Departure to Lao Cai: We will meet at the lobby of the hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Hanoi Railways station for night train to Sapa. Overnight on train.

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Mong Sen – Ta Phin (B, L, D)

Upon arrival in Lao Cai Railway station early in the morning, we will be met up and transfer to Sapa. Breakfast at hotel in Sapa. Relax a little bit then we are downhill to Mong Sen, where we start trekking uphill through the mountainous area. Enjoy green beauty landscape and so fresh environment of natural while walking the spectacular view over rice paddy terraces, corn fields. Our picnic lunch will be provided on the spot.

After lunch, continue our trekking downhill towards Ta Phin village where we will meet Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities, the two largest ethnic groups in Sapa. The rest of time, visit a local house to interact with local people to know a bit more about their daily life, their customs and tradition. We will have dinner and overnight in the homestay.

Approx: 4 hours trekking

Day 2: Ta Phin – Matra – Sapa (B, L)

After breakfast, we continue our trekking towards Sapa. We will pass through several minority villages; rice paddy terraces along the way, enjoying the beautiful and peaceful view. Upon arriving in Matra village inhabited by Black Hmong people, we will stop for our lunch. Restart the trekking to Sapa. Overnight at a homestay in Sapa

Approx: 4 hours walking

Day 3: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Lao Cai – Night train to Hanoi (B, L, D)

After breakfast at hotel, we will commence our short journey by driving south toward Muong Hoa valley and start our trekking by descending into the valley, which is the largest rice paddy terraced among Sapa area with interesting information about rice provided by the guide. Moreover, we will be able to observe and experience how the local do planting and harvesting, one of the most important activities in daily life. The trekking takes us from Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority including a visit to the local Catholic Church. After visiting Ta Van, return to Sapa.

In the afternoon, we head back to Lao Cai for our night train to Hanoi. Overnight on train
