Brief Itinerary

Day 1 (SAT): Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai
Day 2 (SUN): Lao Cai – Bac Ha Sunday market – Sapa
Day 3 (MON): Sapa – Lao chai – Ta van – Sa Pa – Lao Cai
Day 4 (TUE): Lao Cai – Hanoi

Day 1 (SAT): Hanoi – Night Train to Lao Cai

Our tour will be started at 20:45 at the lobby of the hotel. We will be met by our guide and transferred to the Hanoi Railway station for the overnight train to Lao Cai.

Day 2 (SUN): Lao Cai – Bac Ha Sunday Market – Sapa (B)

Upon arrival, in early morning at Lao Cai Railway station, we will be met and transferred by our local guide & driver. Having our breakfast at the restaurant nearby, we take a little rest for a while and we then drive up to Bac Ha Market. There will be 2 hours driving to the mountainous area but we will be freshening up by the atmosphere and splendid view on the way.

Bac Ha market is the largest market in the region where 10 ethnic minority people gather to buy and sell, eat and drink with together. We may choose some homemade handicrafts and clothes, and take a lot of colorful pictures of the Flower H’mong people in this unique Bac Ha market. After our lunch at a fine restaurant in Bac Ha.

Afternoon time we will have 2-hour trek to Ban Pho village, home of Flower H’mong people. In the village, we can have a look in their houses and understand their lifestyle and traditional customs with an informative tour guide. Especially, we can try homemade wine from corn. Then we will take the car again and transfer to Sapa town.

Day 3 (MON): Sapa – Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages (B, L)

After breakfast, embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages, Lao Chai and Ta Van, home of the black H’mong and Dzay ethnic minority people in Sapa. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people we can meet. Once on the valley floor, we can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds us. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages. Return to Sapa by our waiting vehicle. In the afternoon we transfer back to Lao Cai Railway station for a night train to Hanoi.

Upon arrival in Hanoi very early morning, we transfer back to our hotel. 4 days of Bac Ha Market – Sapa trekking tour ends.
