The region is blessed with rich forest, limestone panoramas, magnificent rice terraces and breathtaking scenery. DETAIL ITINERARY:
Day 1 Hanoi - Pu Luong - Hang After breakfast we depart Hanoi for Pu Luong Natural Reserve. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies. Following lunch in Ban Sai village we drive further into the reserve where we begin our trek. We trek for approximately three hours before arriving at the Thai village of Hang. We spend the night with a local Thai family who will be our hosts in a traditional house built on stilts. Whilst enjoying their hospitality we will discover a little more about their lives and culture. Today lunch and dinner included
Day 2 Hang - Kho Muong In the morning we will have the opportunity to stroll around Hang village before our trek. Today we will be walking for approximately six hours. Along the way we will visit several Thai villages and hamlets before arriving at the village of Kho Muong. As the name suggests this is a Muong minority village where we will spend the night. Day 3 Kho Muong - Pu Luong - Cao Hoong  Today we have a full day's trek as we climb to the summit of Pu Luong Mountain. En route we pass a number of small hamlets and minority villages. At the summit, the panoramic views of Pu Luong are magnificent. The climb to the top takes around eight hours with a further two hours for the descent to the village of Cao Hoong where we will spend the night. Today breakfast, lunch and dinner included
Day 4 Cao Hoong - Trinh village Today's hike through verdant countryside will take around five hours as we meet the local population going about their daily lives - cultivating the fields and herding buffalo. In the afternoon we arrive at the village of Trinh. Today breakfast, lunch and dinner included
Day 5 Trinh village - Son village Departing Trinh village we have a six hour trek to our next home stay in Son village. This village is located on the slopes of the mountain and enjoys a cooler climate. Today breakfast, lunch and dinner included
Day 6 Son village - Hanoi We leave Son village and walk through several hamlets and villages for approximately three hours. We then rendezvous with our awaiting vehicle that will take us back to Hanoi. Today breakfast, lunch included
