Director of the Kien Giang provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Tran Chi Dung said, National Tourism Year 2016 includes many diverse activities. Among them, 14 events will be directed by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other national departments; 13 great events presided over by Kien Giang, 38 others of Mekong River Delta and Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, Lao Cai… Recently, Kien Giang province has focused on upgrading key tourist areas, urban investments and other infrastructure. 300 provincial hotels of 7.500 rooms, hundreds of motels are available to tourist in tourism season and any large festivals.
The opening ceremony of “National Tourism Year 2016 – Phu Quoc – Mekong Delta” will officially take place on April 9, 2016 in Phu Quoc district, Kien Giang.
