    • Fansipan itself is an attraction of Sa Pa area as well as Northern Vietnam. The peak is a part of Hoang Lien mountain range, which is under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park. The trip offers you an opportunity to explore the beautiful nature and challenge yourself.

      Day 1 Hanoi - Lao Cai

      DETAIL ITINERARY

      Day 1 Hanoi - Lao Cai by night Train
      We will be met at the lobby of the hotel and transferred to the Hanoi Railway station. The train will depart Hanoi at around 22:00. We spend tonight on a 4 soft sleeper berth cabin.

      Day 2 Sapa - Ta Phin village - Sa Pa (B, L)

      Up on arrival in Lao Cai Railway station early in the morning we will be met by a local guide who will escort us to Sa Pa town. After checking in hotel, we enjoy our breakfast at the hotel restaurant and take a quick shower before going out for our visit the town. Firstly in the morning we climb up the Ham Rong mountain for the overview of Sa Pa town and villages where will visit after that. After lunch we will take a car to the village where we can visit the Red Dzao people, chatting with them as well as see how they live to share culture with families here. The rest of the day, we walk back to the town to join the local market. Overnight in Sa Pa.

      Approx: 1,5 hours driving/ grade 2 of 5/ 2,5 hours walking

      Day 3 Sa Pa - Tram Ton - 2800m (B, L, D)

      You are having a couple of interesting days waiting ahead. You travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. The trek will be relatively soft until lunchtime. After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch.

      With new energy you start ascending as well as descending towards the campsite. En route you have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views to Sa Paarea and beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. You will arrive to the campsite at 2800m ASL in the late afternoon. Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well prepared dinner.
      Approx: Grade 3 of 5/ 0,5 hour driving/ 5 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.

      Day 4 From 2800m - the top of Fansipan - 2100m (B, L, D)

      After having breakfast, you climb to the top, where you can celebrate your victory. From there, you can enjoy the best view to beautiful sceneries. You will then start descending. You stop on the way at a nice spot for lunch.

      After lunch, you start the tough trek, which is all the way downhill through rainforest. This part requires a great concentration to step on steep trail until you meet the campsite at 2100m ASL. Here you spend another night in tent.
      Approx: Grade 3 of 5/ 6 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.

      Day 5 From 2100m - Sin Chai - Sa Pa (B, L)
      You wake up in the fresh and pure morning in wild nature, before heading back to civilization. You trek downhill through well-protected forest and after two hours of hiking, you stop for lunch.

      You will then continue descending toward Sin Chai village of Back Hmong minority. On the way you will be able to enjoy valley views and beautiful surrounding. You stop at the village for a while before you go by car back to Sa Pa, where you can celebrate your achievement and relax.
      Approx: Grade 3 of 5/ 0,5 hour driving/ 4 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.

      Day 6 Sa Pa - Hanoi (B)

      Today you are at leisure until we take a car to the train station for overnight train back Hanoi

      Day 7 Hanoi

      Up on arrival in Hanoi very early morning, we transfer back to our hotel.

      Note: Climb a 3413m ASL Mountain in just two days takes some effort, endurance and plenty of high spirit. The night will be spent in tent. The trip is not recommended in bad weather due to safety.
      We will provide you with the necessary camping equipments. To climb Fansipan, we strongly recommend that you need to bring along with you good walking boots or shoes, insect repellent, torch... Furthermore a warm sweater and a rain jacket are necessary.
