DETAIL ITINERARY
Day 1: Saigon arrival half-day City (D)
Up on arrival in Ho Chi Minh city, we are welcome by Viet Vision Travel’s tour guide at the airport, then we transfer to our hotel in central city. Check in hotel and relax.
In the afternoon, we will visit Cho Lon, Chinese town and market. Here we can experience our Vietnamese Southern daily life. In the evening, we enjoy our welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant in town. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 2: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel – Cao Dai (B, L)
Sites visited: Cao Dai Temple, Cu Chi Tunnel At 9 o’clock, we will depart for Tay Ninh in the Northwest of Saigon where is near the Cambodian border to visit Cao Dai Temple or Great Temple or Holy See. Cao Dai is a syncretistic Vietnamese religious movement that incorporates aspect of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and even Catholicism. Here, we will have chance to see a modern architecture closely resembles Christian cathedral… There are 4 ceremonies in a day, 6AM, Noon, 6PM & midnight. We will visit NOON ceremony at 12:00, a biggest one in a day.
We can see an orchestra of 10 musicians and a choir of 20 youths lead the service in prayer and hymns. The hymns sound western, but the accompanying music is traditional Vietnamese. We can take photos, and we are also asked for trousers, skirts covering the knees; remove shoes before entering and remain quiet as possible during the ceremony.
After a half of hour ceremony, we will be back to our vehicle to transfer to the local restaurant for our lunch. After lunch, we will transfer to Cu Chi Tunnel where is located in the Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh city. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters.
Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed; then we will have an exploration of the maze of tunnels. We will visit the safe part of the tunnel system which may be made larger and lightening. Above-ground attractions include caged monkeys, vendor selling souvenir, and a shooting range where we can fire a number of assault rifle, such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60.
We will be back Saigon at around 18:00.
Day 3: Saigon – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L)
08:00, we will be met at the lobby of the hotel; after that, we transfer to Vinh Long. The program will start with the visit of Cai Be colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where we can see how rices paste, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn are made.
It is so interesting to visit the handicraft village where we can see how they make some special products: making rice-net for spring rolls, fish sauce & soya sauce, cooking salt, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage proof...
The rowing boat will take us deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta..
Lunch can be served at Ut Trinh home. After lunch, we can walk around and then we will enjoy some kinds of fruits when listening to the traditional music
One more thing to do in this trip is biking! It will be so amazing to bike on village paths to see the local farms, houses, real life and the ancestral ways to pick up fruits in Mekong Delta..
The cruise will end at Vinh Long city where we take our own vehicle to Can Tho city. Overnight at hotel in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho (Cai Rang floating market) – Saigon (B, L)
After breakfast this morning, we will take the morning boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market with the busy sense right at the time. Then we keep on cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice noodles making village. Let's try experience the "Monkey Bridge" in the Mekong Delta before returning Ho Chi Minh city.
