People’s committee of Hoi An (Quang Nam) city have recently decided to expand and develop the kind of accommodating in local people’s home – homestay. This confirmation is in effect at rural villages and traditional districts such as Tra Que vegetable village (Cam Ha), Kim Bong carpentry village (Cam Kim), Thanh Ha pottery village (Thanh Ha ward), Thanh Dong and Thanh Nam (Nam Cam ward), An Bang (Cam An ward), An My (Cam Chau ward).
Together with prioritizing the development of homestay service at Cam Kim commune as well as other areas in Cam An ward, Department of Commerce and Tourism have proposed People’s committee of Hoi An city criteria, specifications of homestay modals suitable for characteristics of each village or locality.
From 2013 to date, it is reported that 275 homestay projects are licensed which means 1.219 accommodations ( 192 projects are operated, 780 accommodations are available).
