In Vietnam, the public holidays are:
- January 1st New Year's: New Year festival
- Last day of the last lunar month (day 29/30 or 31) - 3rd day of the first lunar month Tet (Vietnamese New Year) Tet Nguyen Dan (Tet) is the largest holiday of the year in Vietnam, occurs around late January-early February (depends on Lunar month). Normally it last for 4 days.
- 10th day of the 3rd lunar month Hung Kings Commemorations (Gio To Hung Vuong) This is a new holiday since 2007, around April. It change depends on lunar month
- April 30th Liberation Day/Reunification Day, (Giai Phong Sai Gon) reunification of Vietnam in 1975
- May 1 The International Workers' Day: Ngay Quoc te Lao Dong
- September 2 National Day (Quoc Khanh or Tet Doc Lap) Ho Chi Minh read declares of independent of Vietnam (September 2nd 1945), forming the Democratic Republic of Vietnam
