I heard that some restaurants in Vietnam have dog or snake on the menu. Is that true?
What a pity we have to say it is true. For local people if they raise dog just for meat and they consider dogs just like many other animals for meat. But if they grow dog as a pet and they will never kill.
Dog is eaten in certain areas in Vietnam (more popular in the north and area around Hanoi). Restaurants that serve dog or snake meat (snake normally from sneak farm) usually specialize in this dishes and just for local, so you are unlikely to encounter dog (or snake) on the menu unless you go looking for those and then only in particular areas of Vietnam.
