Dalat Weather

Situated at the height of 1.475m above sea level, so even though Dalat is in a tropical climate but Dalat still has cool and pleasant weather in the temperate regions with an average annual temperature of 17,8°C; highest in April (19,1°C); lowest in December (15,7°C). The lowest average temperature during the day is 15°C and the highest is 24°C. The dry season in Dalat begins from December to March while the rainy season runs from April to November. The monsoon climate also influences the features of two main monsoon seasons: The northeast monsoon in the dry season and the southwest monsoon in the rainy season.
When the northeast monsoon comes, Dalat’s weather becomes gradually better and drier. This is the period when the sky is always clear, cool, and incredibly comfortable. This is also considered as the best time of year for tourism activities and sports. The weather in the daytime is bright and warm, on the opposite, it cold and mostly the weather prevails at night. Also in this season, the average humidity reaches the minimum value, approximately 82%.
Trade wind and southwest monsoon occasionally combine with all the activities of tropical depressions, storms in the East Sea have brought to Dalat a plentiful average annual rainfall, of approximately 1.600mm.
