The ancient Vietnamese people were descended from a legend of Children of Dragon, Grandchildren of Gods Lac Long Quan and Au Co which the dragon and the angel got married and gave birth to one hundred eggs hatching one hundred children – the ancestors of the Vietnamese people. According to scientific evidence, the ancient Vietnamese is considered to be a group migrating from the Indonesian Islands and settling on the edge of the Red River in the North Delta. There are at least 54 different ethnic groups in Vietnam and the Viet or Kinh is a major ethnic group that makes up nearly 90% of the population. The popular groups of the rest include Tay, Muong, Hoa, Nung, H’mong, Dao, and Kh’mer. Every region in Vietnam has a culture and another lifestyle that makes it unique to the Vietnam tours.
