Viet Vision Travel’s charity challenge
Viet Vision Travel was formed in 2005 by a team of tour leaders with previous experience leading tours in Vietnam and Cambodia. They are the founders of Viet vision travel company, and are very experienced from traveling through many regions and have witnessed first hand the peoples poverty and struggle to overcome everyday difficulties. Viet Vision began as a serious gathering to discuss issues of concern regarding the Vietnam tourism industry. Viet Vision has the potential to do some real good but in the mean time, the people we would like to help are still suffering. Many families still dream of having the basic needs in life that many Westerners take for granted. There are still many people whose lives are spent dreaming of the opportunity to go to school, staying in a good house or warm families with better care. We share our hopes and dreams for those people and the desire to make a difference and touch the lives of those who are living in Vietnam. In forming Viet Vision Travel, we sought to combine our talents, energy and dedication to contribute to the building of a more prosperous Vietnam.
We welcome anyone who has an interest in Vietnam to join us to lend the people a hand; we believe we can make a difference in Vietnam. As an organization, we strive to make a bigger difference with each passing day. If you are interested in donating directly please click on the links below to contact us for further in formation.
Community benefit
Volunteering is first about giving a ‘hand up, not a hand out’ to those in need. But the benefits to the local communities you work in go far beyond just providing an extra pair of hands.
Through your fundraising:
You can raise more for charity than you would be able to give yourself by writing a cheque.
You will raise awareness of the issues of poverty housing around the world.
The experience will provide you or your organization with insight into new ways of helping others.
For every single dollar you pay for your trips to Indochina through Viet Vision Travel, we will contribute 5 cents for charity.
Collecting second hands clothes and medicines, to be packed up and sent to us or brought with you to Vietnam.
Volunteer teaching English in rural regions. For further info of how to do please contact us
By being there
You will bring hope to a village and a message that the international community cares.
You will inject energy into a community, boosting morale where it is vitally needed.
Support the local economy (by staying in locally owned hotels, eating in local restaurants and employing local people for the programs).
First hand, experience enables you
To become a ‘champion’ for the cause.
To inspire others to go and help.
"There is no doubt that the challenge was wonderfully positive. Every rafter that was nailed into place and every batch of concrete mixed was helping to rebuild someone’s life"
Fresh field’s team participant
"After a weeks hard work and lots of sweat, seeing the tears of happiness of our homeowner made me realize that to have ‘done’ was so much stronger than just sending money"

Challenges
Vietnam community challenge
There are many children in remote regions of Vietnam without proper school facilities, who can only attend a run down and worn out school and kindergarten.
There are many farmers in remote areas still lacking basic tools, even for agricultural work. These people need assistance to help them understand better how to cultivate the land to its most productive potential, to allow them to be self-sufficient and provide for their families.
Currently there are about 100 children of Bo Am village of Hoa Binh province who have to go to a school in very bad condition and worn out kindergarten, it is in a Seprepit broken down state and is so bad that the conditions are a threat to their every day health and safety. They do not have any other option, but have to attend this school. Volunteers will help to build basic, but permanent and clean place for very cute children, who would be delighted to go to a safe and basic school. The volunteers would know that they had help contribute a major part for their prosperity and a better chance for their life in future. For detail construction plan please contact us

Soft challenging
Situation of English education around Vietnam in smaller towns, rural regions or remote areas is still not good. All the English teachers are Vietnamese and local. In addition, what the teachers always focus on is the grammar structures, reading or writing skill. Pupils and schoolchildren may be quite good at English grammar structures as it is the compulsory subject for the exam, and they can do very good job of examination, but in term of speaking skill they are almost deaf and mute. That is the reason why we encourage volunteers who play in roll of local teachers in certain duration to teach English to upgrade their English, especially speaking skills. That will be great help for local children and make them feel more confident to integrate with society after leaving school. The focus in this tour is also to allow the tourists, who come from western countries to understand more about Vietnamese lives, culture, history…
School culture in whole Vietnam
Vietnam is one of the countries in Asia still influenced from Confucianism. This means that the children still have good respect for the teachers and think highly of them, which is still well preserved and practiced in Vietnam, particularly when applied to school discipline. When the teacher gets in class all students must stand up for greeting, and while the teacher is giving the lesson the students keep silent; they are only allowed to speak when the teacher approves, also every November 20th is Vietnam teacher day where all pupils pay teacher’s kindness and thanks for educating.
There are many places in Vietnam that need your assistance which would provide very different experiences for tourists and hugely benefit local children.

We tend to strike the balance between your time of traveling and community challenges. So we can arrange short breaks in villages or towns for visiting schools where you can volunteer to teach English for one day or a couple of days (or just quick visit to say hello to the children) and you still not miss out the highlights of the country.
In Vietnam, children go to school from Monday to Friday in the morning and learn about four different subjects (Math, Literature, History…), every single subject last for 45 minutes, and 15 minutes for short breaks between. In the afternoon they have free time at home or help their parent to do something. You either can chose to go to school in the morning section or in the afternoons (which organized by us) you also can get around the region to know more about how the Vietnamese lead their daily lives in the farming areas or remote areas.
Viet Vision Travel will arrange a local house (kind of home stay, where you will stay with the local families), which has a good condition such as western toilet or clean squat toilet, accommodation with fan, clean, soft beds….
Viet Vision Travel will be in charge of arranging good house facilities, which provide enough vital needs for tourists, but it is also a great break away, reducing all the tensions of hard work, stressful city life, and allow the local culture to influence you, all set in the lush picturesque landscape of Vietnam, with hospitable and friendly people.
That will be your unforgettable experience!
